Villa Ada Manzarali (Turkish for Island View) is situated in the hillsides close to the beautiful and tranquil village of Gundogan on Turkey's famous Bodrum peninsula and within easy reach of the historic city of Bodrum itself. The Villa was recently constructed in the summer of 2006. Due to its location, the views across the Aegean sea are trully stunning from all areas of the Villa and should leave a lasting memory on those who visit. Villa Ada Manzarali can comfortably accommodate 7 persons comprising two bedrooms, (Double and twin room), double sofa bed and single sofa bed. The villa comprises a separate kitchen with breakfast bar, two modern, fully tiled bathrooms and WCs, one on each floor for convenience. Its includes a large living room with working fireplace and room for indoor dining . The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, George Foreman grill and all the cooking utensils required. The master bedroom features a unique "Cumba" or window seating area where one can enjoy the sight of the early morning sunrise across Gundogan bay and views of the small fishing boats returning with their catch to Gundogan harbor. Every effort has been made by the property owners to fulfill the holiday needs of young and old alike. A TV and satellite system including international channels is provided. A Panasonic DVD player, extensive video library with suitable viewing for younger children is included, should you ever tire of the sunshine and seek solace indoors.

Villa Ada Manzarali offers guests exceptional outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful views and surroundings the area has to offer. Two patio areas are available, one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor and guests will undoubtedly wish to make use of these whilst enjoying the excellent weather in this part of South West Turkey . The outdoor areas are easily accessible by the French doors from both the kitchen and living rooms. The outside patios and paved areas are illuminated at night, giving a very ambient atmosphere for evening dining and entertaining. High quality patio furniture is provided along with a BBQ for outdoor cooking. Sun worshippers can top up their tans using the sun loungers. If you prefer to sit back, relax and loose yourself with your favorite book, then the large Parasol on the patio will provide the shade you may prefer on occasion. The garden area is planted in lawn, with local Begonvilla and Oleander adding to the profusion of color.

The interior decor is bright and modern with thought given to soft furnishings and accessories to make the Villa a home from home during your stay. Various artworks from a number of sources are displayed adding to the comfortable feel of the villa.

Another unique feature of the villa is the dome shaped roof which is said to have been designed to mimic the shape of the ancient Greek Byzantine church which can be seen a short distance away, across the sea to Rabbit Island.

Outside facilities for use of all guests at Villa Ada Manzarali

The Heredot complex although small and exclusive has ample outside facilities including its Infinity pool with views of the Aegean which no photograph can really do justice to. The Villa benefits from being only a short 2/3 minute walk from the pool and the children's play area situated adjacent to it. There is also a children's paddling pool for smaller toddlers.

Secluded seaside access is available to guests, a short walk from the site, with facilities shared by a small number of selected neighboring complexes. These include sundecks, pontoons, loungers and parasols. Excellent snorkeling opportunities exist here with an abundance of sea life present. The water here is deep so the beach in Gundogan village with its gently shelving sandy beach, may be better suited to guests with very small children.

Villa Ada Manzarali. The ideal base to explore the Bodrum Peninsula
The Bodrum peninsula offers so many interesting towns and villages, all easily accessible by car or the good public transport system. Car hire although not essential is easily arranged to explore the more secluded hidden coves and mountain roads. The village of Gundogan is a 5 minute drive by car. The villa is located in an area which benefits well from public transport as the local Dolmus bus service stops directly outside the entrance to Heredot complex, and is a 2 minute walk from the villa door. Very handy is you prefer not to drive. Frequent buses depart from Gundogan to Bodrum should you decide to go bargain hunting in the markets and Bazaars or visit the splendid Bodrum Castle. The neighbouring towns of Yalikavak, Gumusluk and Turgutreis can also be visited using the Dolmus.

Gundogan village proudly retains its Turkish tradition and is one of the truly unspoilt villages where locals and holiday makers can both go about their business in harmony. Formerly known as "Farilya" in Greek, meaning Sunrise and one of the oldest settlements on the Bodrum peninsula, the beauty of the village is its peace and tranquility, where people are happy to take time out from lifes stresses and troubles and simply relax. If a more lively evening is sought, the larger resorts of Bodrum and Gumbet are easily accessible and will provide all kinds of entertainment to early morning.

By day the village retains its sense of relaxation with people happy to make use of the many restaurant pontoons stretching into the sea, where many choose to top up their tans, before taking a dip in the warm waters of the Aegean. By night these pontoons then become the focal point for leisurely meals, good company and conversation and listening to the sound of the sea in all its splendor. Gundogan caters for most tastes in cuisine wish fish an obvious specialty, but Turkish Mezes provide an opportunity to try more traditional dishes, perhaps not sampled before.

There are two supermarkets close to the Villa, only a short walk away and open during day time hours.. Gundogan has a larger supermarket called Migros open until 10pm, but the real bargains are to be found each Wednesday when the local market is held. Here locally produced fruits, vegetables and spices are displayed in a multitude of color and at very low prices. Perfect for stocking up the fridge for the evening Barbeques. Textiles and other garments are also on sale. Each village on the peninsula has its own defined market day with Turgutreis having a particularly large one, each Saturday. There are so many sights to explore on the Peninsula and you will find various guide books in the Villa giving directions to the most popular. Bodrum castle, the Gumbet windmills and the ancient ruins of Myndos at Gumusluk to name but a few. The evening sunset at Gumusluk ,while dining at one of the seafood restaurants is a pleasure not to miss.

If you wish to explore slightly further afield the Greek island of Kos is easily reached from Bodrum harbour and the Hydrofoil journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Kos town is worthy of a days exploration with some very good shops and cafes. The ancient Roman city of Ephesus is probably the most famous site in Turkey, situated near Kusadasi and is a 3 hour drive away. It was one of the main cities of the Roman Empire and home to one of the ancient Seven wonders of the World, in the Temple of Artemis. Various remains still stand and the popularity of Ephesus is understandable. To give some idea of the history of this area of Turkey ,another of the Seven Wonders of the World was the Mausoleum in Bodrum, the tomb built for King Mausolus, which stood for 1500 years before being destroyed by an earthquake in 1304. Some remains were then used in the building of Bodrum Castle. Others are now housed at the British Museum in London.
